The 2018 Journey Interior

The third-row seat in the 2018 Journey is now standard this model year, meaning every Journey model will now seat seven people. Wrapped in standard cloth or optional leather, the front seats are comfortable and supportive.

The second-row seats, with 36.1 inches of legroom, will accommodate many adults. Have young children you need to bring along for the ride? No problem. The available integrated second-row booster seats give kids a higher and safer seating position that can be folded away when not needed.

The third row offers 23.4 inches of legroom. It probably won’t fit many full-sized adults, but it’s the perfect place for kids to sit while those with longer legs are using the second row.

Engine Performance Specs 

The base engine in the Dodge Journey is a 2.4L I-4 with 173 horsepower and 166 lb-ft of torque on tap. If most of your driving is done around town, it’ll be more than sufficient. However, if you want more acceleration out on the open roads, the available 3.6L Pentastar®V6 (283 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque) may be more your style.

With the V6, you can tow up to 2,500 pounds, whether it comes in the form of furniture in a cargo trailer or a small boat. To keep your trailer or boat safe and secure behind you, Trailer Sway Control helps apply the brakes and adjust engine throttle strategically to help keep your vehicle and trailer stable.

Infotainment Technology 

Looking for turn-by-turn directions to your destination? How about an easy way to manage your music? Information on the latest movie listings, sporting events, weather, or fuel prices? The Uconnect®3 NAV infotainment system in this new Dodge model can handle it all.

This available system is an upgrade from the standard Uconnect®system. It includes a responsive 8.4-inch touchscreen with sharp and refined graphics, as well as Garmin® GPSNavigation. In Junction View, it gives you a display of road signs and intersections along your route, so nothing takes you by surprise.

Need help backing up? The available ParkView®Rear Back Up Camera lets you see what’s going on behind you when you shift into reverse. It’s all displayed for you on the Uconnect®touchscreen, along with your projected path based on your steering angle.
