Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM March Sales Results Released
Last week, FCA US LLC announced sales results for March 2017. Overall, the company sold a total of 190,254 throughout the United States, registering a slight decrease as it continues to pursue its plans to reduce fleet sales for the daily rental market.
Four Dodge models earned sales increases in March, leading the brand to a 10 percent improvement for the month. Sales for the Journey crossover ballooned 100 percent, while the Challenger rose 17 percent in year-over-year comparisons. The Dodge Viper and Dodge Grand Caravan minivan also delivered sales gains in March.
The Chrysler Pacifica, 2016 and 2017's most awarded minivan, realized an increase of 3 percent over sales from February 2017. March marked the model's best sales month of the year, and the third consecutive month that the Pacifica earned improved year-over-year sales as well.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee also achieved its best sales month so far in 2017 with a 22 percent gain in March.
RAM pickup truck and van sales grew 6 percent compared to March 2016 numbers, powered by a stellar 24 percent sales increase for RAM ProMaster vans.
