Jeep Cherokee Review
The Jeep Cherokee is a fan favorite among local drivers, and in reviewing it, we can see why. For starters, it comes with your choice between three different engines:
- 2.4L MultiAir®2 Tigershark I-4: 180 horsepower/171 lb-ft of torque
- 3.2L Pentastar® V6: 271 horsepower/239 lb-ft of torque
- 2.0L turbo I-4: 270 horsepower/295 lb-ft of torque
All three engines are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission that gives you some smooth-shifting action and performance optimization. With a limited manual mode, you’re also free to take control of your shifting when you want.
You can also choose to equip your SUV with front-wheel drive or one of the Jeep Active Drive 4-wheel drive systems, which includes the Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System. This system maximizes your off-road capabilities by letting you choose between five different drive modes: Auto, Snow, Sport, Sand/Mud, Rock.
In the Jeep Cherokee interior, you’ll have enough seating for five passengers and a total cargo area of 54.7 cubic feet.
Why Lease the Jeep Cherokee?
If you’re excited about the idea of driving the Jeep Cherokee, starting a lease may be a great way to make it happen—for many reasons!
Just one reason is that leases may have a lower monthly payment than you’d have if you bought the car instead. This difference is due to the fact that leases are temporary, so you’re only responsible for financing the SUV for the two or three years that you drive it. Compare this to buying where you finance the entire cost of the car.
Due to this extra budgetary wiggle room, many drivers will choose to shop for a higher trim level than they would have otherwise. Or, they might add in a neat feature like the CommandView® Dual-Pane Panoramic Sunroof.
Another reason why many drivers choose a Jeep Cherokee lease is that leases are usually only two or three years long. With this setup, you get to exchange your vehicle for the newest model year with the most up-to-date features every couple of years.
However, if you completely love the model you’re driving, then you’re not obligated to give it back. Let our finance center team know and we’ll help you buy it out, so you can drive it home to keep.
