If this is the SUV you want to drive around Dallas, Garland, and Arlington, you’re probably curious about the Jeep Cherokee interior. As you’ll see in our review, the Cherokee has a spacious cabin with plenty of style and high-tech features.

Jeep Cherokee Interior Dimensions
What many people first notice about the Jeep Cherokee interior is that you get a lot of trunk space behind the second-row seats. To be exact, you can load up with 25.8 cubic feet of luggage, even with passengers occupying all five seats.
Need to bring along even more? The Cherokee has you covered. Fold down the second-row seats to create a flat load floor and you can pack it full of 54.7 cubic feet of cargo. With the 60/40 split function for the rear seats, you can adjust to accommodate cargo and passengers to suit your needs.
If you have your hands full while loading up the cargo space, that’s no problem with the available foot-activated power liftgate. Simply kick your foot under the rear bumper and the hatch will open automatically. No need to put down what you’re holding to open the liftgate.
Another neat feature about the cargo area is the hidden load floor. If you have small or fragile items to transport—like a carton of eggs after you grocery shop or golf balls on your way to the course—you can keep them safe and secure by lifting up the load floor and storing them underneath.
As the driver, you can stretch out in 39.4 inches of headroom and 41.1 inches of legroom. The rear-seat passengers can sit tall with 38.5 inches of headroom and 40.3 inches of legroom.
Interior Design of the Cherokee
When you climb inside the cabin of the Jeep Cherokee, you’ll find a well-designed and aesthetically pleasing space. You can make it your own by choosing between cloth, leather, perforated leather, or premium cloth seating appointment depending on your trim level.
You can also choose your color, with options including:
- Tan with Cattle Tan accent stitching
- Ski Gray with Island Gray accent stitching
- Black with Ruby Red accent stitching
With an available CommandView® Dual-Pane Panoramic Sunroof, you can let in plenty of natural sunlight and really watch those colors pop.
Of course, a Jeep Cherokee interior review wouldn’t be complete without talking about all the infotainment technology. We’ll start with the display screen in the center stack. The standard option is the Uconnect® 4 system with a 7-inch touchscreen. However, you can upgrade to an 8.4-inch touchscreen, as well.
The standard infotainment system comes with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto® smartphone integration along with integrated voice command features. Bluetooth® wireless device connectivity is also standard and allows you to make phone calls on the go without taking your hands off the wheel.
With the 8.4-inch touchscreen, you can keep the standard Uconnect® 4 system or upgrade to the Uconnect® 4C NAV system. The latter includes a completely integrated 3D navigation system that can help you get where you’re going with even more ease and convenience.
