The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon Will (Almost) Certainly Be More Powerful Than the Hellcat
The Dodge Challenger has always been one of the most iconic muscle cars around, and since 2015, it’s also been one of the most powerful. The introduction of the SRT Hellcat, which brought 707 hp to the table, was a watershed moment. Now, it looks like its sibling, the SRT Demon, will be even more potent.
Although no official horsepower figures have been released, a recent video entitled “Performance Pages” has shown us just how much quicker the SRT Demon is. While the Hellcat has 707 horsepower and can make it to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, the Demon apparently shaves a half-second off that time as seen in the video. Yet it’s the Dyno page in the clip that really gets our attention.
This section shows a graph of the car’s horsepower. While the scale goes up to 850 hp, the peak horsepower of the car’s most recent run clocks in at about 750 hp. This definitely lends some credibility to the theory that the SRT Demon packs more power, but some are wondering if the car has even more. After all, wouldn’t 808 horsepower compliment the Hellcat’s 707 ponies rather nicely?
